Even though I might not watch it anymore, some of you still do and you might want to discuss it. Have at it, you silly fuckers!

I loved the first season. Blood and sex :) That's how it's supposed to be with vamps. But when Sookie started throwing lightning out of her hands..and the moment she walked through fairy-land, I turned it off and never on again.

The booka are more fun :)

I got tired of the fairy shit too. Plus Sookie's accent got to be too much to take. I'm from the south and yeah, some accents get annoying but we don't all sound like that. I had to turn the volume down whenever she spoke. haha

Why is it whenever I hear fairy land I think of Fairly Oddparents? I'm waiting for Cosmo and Wanda to come out and pull out the rule book and smack Sookie with it.

And fuck the show for having ADHD with their characters and storylines.

LMFAO! This post made me almost fall of the bed from laughing so hard. I think most people only watch it for the sex and the lolz. It's too rigoddamndiculous to be serious about it. Most of the men just want to see Erik and Alcide

Yeah, I wrote that during one of my stay up for almost 14 hours cause the nightmares are too fucked up moods.

I think this week's was slightly better. There was torture with silver, Arline and Terry reminding me why some people need to be post birth aborted, something about Luna's(?) Sam's piece of ass, daughter turning into a puppy.

Chris Meloni came was barely in this one. His accent kind of annoyed me but I couldn't stop laughing since Jack the Ripper from Sancatuary and Oenomaus from Spartacus was apart of the council. They gave Pam a different backstory from the books which doesn't bother me. Eric in a top hat and tails, really adorable.

How are the books compared to the show? It's not some teenager shit like Twilight is it?

I love the books. I hate Twilight. Read 3 pages, couldn't stand it.

But the True Blood-books are amazing. Sookie tells the storys, and the author manages to make you think that you really listen to the girl telling them. It's kind of natural. And I think it#s pretty hard to make a vamp story sound natural ;)

Books are funny, but it's a kind of humor I like. For exmple things like Sookie wondering why she's wondering more about the blood on her nice dresse than the arm that got seperated from the vampire. I often think stff which is actually totally unimportant if you take  look at the realaty that's happening, so I can relate to Sookie.

Eric has a lot more character than in the tv show. Relationships go deeper and have more realistic sides too.

Best thing: the fairy shit isn't so in the front. There is no magic flash comming out of anyones hand. Magic is more comlex. Wiccans more realistic. Nit so obvious, spells more complicated...

I love those books :)

Woud give them to you to rad, have all of then in english, but I guess you don't live next door :)

The earlier books are good. The last two or three are kind of crap but still better than the Twilight books. I have ebooks for almost all and would share but want to stay kosher with the law and such.

I do love how book Sookie cares more about her outfit than what goes on around her or the status of the house compared to what just happened. And there are characters on the book that would be great on the show. But yeah, the books have their charm.

Going to the show, I think the writers need to meet the true death. This last  episode was filled with shit and piss. And now I'm quoting Spartacus again. I've been watching it since I read about Andy Witfield's documentry Be Here Now. That and missed the Nagron love.

That sounds like the Sookie on the show. The Sookie on the show pisses me off because she embodies every negative stereotype that there is about Southern women. When people think about girls from Texas and Louisiana they picture this Jessica Simpson type moron that's vain and thinks it's cute to act like a retard in front of men. Granted, there are a lot of women here in the South that do that, and yes they need to get hit in the head with a book or a shovel (I'd prefer a shovel) but most of us aren't like that. The lengths that Anna Paquin took Sookie and what she did with the accent (Steven Moyer does a piss poor job with the accent too) made the show pretty unbearable to watch.  It's not just me that kind of finds the way Anna Paquin portrays a Southern girl to be insulting, either.  Last semester I was taking a film class and someone brought up True Blood. I can't remember how the conversation got to that, but it was really funny because that class had a lot of Louisiana transplants in it and they all just kind of groaned when Sookie was mentioned. The girls from Shreveport, New Orleans and even the girls from here in Dallas didn't want to be tarred with the same brush as Fluff-for-Brains Stackhouse.

Another thing that really grated my nerves when I used to watch True Blood was the fact that Sookie, as insufferable as her personality is, had all these guys (Sam, Beeeeehl,Alcide, Erik) that are just absolutely obsessed with her. I was watching that ridiculousness and thinking "Really? That's what does it for you guys? You're really that madly in love with the female version of Forest Gump?"

That's where I think writers screw up. They make main characters that are incredibly irritating. You can even see this in SoA. Whenever someone tries to bash Jax to someone what is drooling over him and they point out how much of a hypocritical ass douche he is the first thing that comes out of said fangirl's mouth is "but he's HAWT!" I bet you anything that if they had gotten an ugly or even average looking actor to play Jax, more women would acknowledge that he's an irritating little fucker. When a person's only saving grace is the fact that they're incredibly hot, then they're in trouble. Good looks can go away so easily! There are very few people that are just hot their entire lives. (cough Thomas Kretchmann cough. Rain probably knows who he is, he's like 50 and he's the only older dude that I wouldn't hesitate to jump on if the opportunity ever presented itself. He belongs to ME haha)

Going back to True Blood and speaking of "hotness" I think if this show did not have Alcide,  Jason and Erik it would have been cancelled ages ago. True Blood's biggest draw is that women cream themselves everytime it comes on.

That stereotype thing didn't hit me because I didn't know about it. Sorry.

But it's true. It's th same thing in a lot of movies/shows. It's also something I don't get about the SOA women..they're not in any way like the women of real MCs I know. They're so full of devotion to their men...I can#t understand that. Only because a man drives a bike doesn't mean he has to be a macho too.

And same with the looks in SOA. jax the cute boy from next door who wants to do everything right. Tig is the tough looking guy, so he has to be a bad ass. (you get what i mean, I hope.)

So let's hit all the authors for once and tell them to get over that.

(I once applied for a TV show..bur because I have dreads it was clear that i had to play the drug addict...)

Oh, and about Thomas Kretchmann - let's jump him together ;)

You kow what I really hate about modern vampire storys? The fact that theay are hot and madly in love and sweet hald the time. Can't they just be vamps and go on a killing spree? Why all the romantic shit around them? They suck human's blood...that's not romantic, it's dirty. It might turn on some people, that's okay, so do whips and chains. But why mess with it by making them all kind and sweet??

Oh man I've been crushing hard on Thomas ever since Stalingrad. I loved his character in Stalingrad, I don't know if that was his first film or not.  I know he was training to be an olympic swimmer sometime before, but he really did an amazing job right there.  And Downfall, even though he played Fegelein I still got upset when they shot him.  He's also interesting. I read an interview with him and he was talking about his life and the things he'd been through, the places he'd lived. He seeemed very interesting and like he would speak lots of languages. I've always been languistically challenged in that away so I admire people who can speak more than two or maybe three. He smokes like a train and he still looks fantastic. That's not fair, dammit!  He's the only one that's over 20 years older than me that I wouldn't hesiate for haha "uh, yeah. No, I don't have to think about it"  Anyway, I digress:P

And the modern vampire stories are pretty lame. They made Erik all lovey dovey and shit when he had amnesia and I wanted to strangle him. At that point I didn't give a shit if he was Alexanders Skarsgard I wanted him dead. Not only do they make tend to make these vampires these metrosexual well dressed teenage looking boys in all these vampire shows (hey, I called your boyfriend metro and he hit me with his purse!) you're right they make them all lovey dovey, when they eat people. That and they're dead. I saw a funny poster about Twilight and it said that the story of Twilight wasn't about a love triangle, but more about a really weird expressionless girl's choice between necrophilia and bestiality. I laughed about that for days because it's so true. I don't get what's so "hot" about being with a vamp. These women are basically banging a corpse that can look up at themwhich make the prospect absolutely horrifying. That's pretty freaky. "Yeah, I like the no-pulse thing"  Damn those bitches is weird! They're freaky, and not the fun type of freaky either, but the "I spent several years in an institution and I will cut you" freaky

I think when i read the books, I overlook the annoying bs like most of Sookie's personality.

Going down the path of living breathing people fucking vampires, is that people really do overlook the whole it's a dead body thing. Like Angel and the Anne Rice vampires, the romantic side of it all hides that nasty part. Ooo, he's so cold. He skin is like ice. Well bitch, cause he died over a hundred years ago. I like vampires as cursed creatures, they cannot love, feel human touch and fight this hunger usually losing that battle. That is where Twilight really pisses me off. That right there is another bitch session that I never love going into since my brain starts to overheat when i think about why tweens and middleaged moms who don't get regual coitis love it soooooo much.

Anyway, the show has turned into a major ass clusterfuck. Chris Meloni's character is dead. Bill and Eric are one dick slip away from fucking, Sookie wants to be normal, Tara is a stripper and some other shit that I blocked out.

I am guessing that Lilith is this show's verison of Akasha.

Something I've been noticing for a long while is that when you see women walk naked, they act like they don't know how to walk. Like if they have a tennisball between their knees. Their thighs are pressed together, it's not a natural walk. My thought could be the fear of the actresses showing more than just bush and boobs. I don't know. It just annoys me

Where the hell did they take those characters from? I don't find a Lilith in the books. (Anyway, why is does every supernatural show need a version of Lilith...?? It's a nice name for a cat or the sister of eve..but why name al these chars like this?)

And I also don't see Bill fucking Eric in the books. Well, they say at some point that Eric had fucked a man (his master? I don't remember..) But Eric and Bill?

I didn't even know that Chris was playing on the show. Didn't he play one of the Arians in "Oz"?Keller? The man who broke the main chars arms and legs and then fell in love with him?

Well, I think it was a goog decision to stop watching True Bool. Sunds like they are messing it up. I still like the books. Think I'll keep reading them.

By the way, you are right, naked actresses cab't walk. Sometimes I even think they can't walk at all, not even with clothes. Must be the High Heels thing.. you are used to walking in them, you can#t do the normal walking thing anymore...but a model in boots and she'll brake her neck....^^

Can anyone summarise what's happening in True Blood? Just a few lines. The last episode I watched was the season finale where Bill got kidnapped. I keep hearing Sookie is a fairy or something? and she banged Eric? Is Bill still on the scene

Ok, let's sum some shit up. Hoyt left Bon Tomps. Doing some oil shit in Alaska. He had Jess glammer the memories of her and Jason out of his nimrod brain. The great and powerful Russel is dead. He ate a fairy and while he was basking in the afterglow, Eric, who busted out of the athority with annoying sister, sent Russel to his true death.  The fairy that fucked Andy had the mother of all orgasams and gave birth to four babies that Andy has to raise. Should just call CPS right now. During that birth, Laf, Jane Bodehouse and Arlene got shifaced drunk. What else? Alcide is now packmaster after snapping JD's neck with the T2000 standing near by who is Alcide's daddy btw. Sam and Luna spent that last few episodes naked on a hunt to get Luna's wolf puppy daughter from the compound. Jason is seeing the ghosts of his dead parents and they are anti vampire. Newlin is a mouse fart in the wind after watching Russel get ganked. A whole bunch or useless vampires died and Bill drank the rest of Lillith's blood...exploding...and then repooling into an afterbirth looking mess. He has been branded Billith by the community at large.

In other words, a shitload of stupid brainless shit happened no one of importance died and I'm not watching it anymore. Fuck next season. I gave up Spartacus for this shit. I don't take this show seriously since it's equal to daytime soap operas and I grew up watching those. When I was at camp, my grandmother would write to me telling me what I was missing on Days of Our Lives and Another World. Give me a video of Jax bitching about the club and trying to hump his half sister to wash this badness out of my brain.

Oh, Sookie is a fairy but no Eric banging this season. She almost mounted Alcide but coitis enterupis by Bill and Eric.

That's the good thing about being forced to wait for the DVDs (I'm in Germany...)- other people already watched the show and they can tell you all about it.

I try not to use illegal methods to watch anything - and I can't watch the german sync, they usually screw it up...so DVDs are pretty much my only option.

But thanks for torturing yourself and giving us the summary. :) *hug*
