Sure, in the first few seasons it was fun to watch her be a total badass, and in many ways, she still is one. After a while, for me at least, her schtick got to be kind of irritating. I know that many women admire Gemma for her toughness but in reality, would any of us want to have Gemma as a friend? 

  We've all seen her say one thing to someone and do another. She made promises to Wendy when Wendy turned up to see Abel without even telling Tara about it while telling Tara something completely different.  Another thing that bugs me about Gemma is the "That's MISS BITCH to you" attitude. Lots of women admire that, but is that really the right atiitude to have 24/7? Granted, sometimes you need it but surely not all the time?  

  Now, some might argue that this is part of her character and her acting this way makes her more watchable, and I completely agree. At times, she's very watchable but at others, the bitchiness gets to be too much to take and I think she needs to ease up a bit. 

I enjoy watching Gemma. I would totally start a war with her in real live (with Gemma, not the actor). She's crazy. She keeps manipulating people, I hate that, had enough of it in my live. I wouldn't let her near my children (if I had any). And at some point I would het really mad. She has something to sy about everything, even when it't not her busines. And she causes so much trouble with her lies. She, jax and Clay are about to bring the club down...their whole family-story will....

If I had a "Gemma" in my life I'd probably blow her off. I hate drama queens and Gemma is a fucking drama queen dude. She's like a woman in a soap opera who always has to be "at war" with someone. I hate how she's a kiss ass to all the men but she's a fucking snake towards all the women. I wonder why in the fuck Tig is so in love with her. He might have this tough guy outer core but Gemma'd eat him for lunch. 

But that's Tig. Just think about his doughter and the 12k....I think Tig is really emotional, if he hates, he hates with all his hard, if he loves, he loves with all his hard...he's kind of extreme with everything.

I don't get why anyone would love Gemma though...

Just hope that Gemma and Tig won't become a couple...don't wanna see Tig broken...

  I don't want to see that either. That near sex scene they had in the second season was really uncomfortable.  And I really don't want to see him broken either. I think he already has been broken throughout the series though, or rather since Donna died. In the first season we saw a very different Tig. Ever since he killed Donna he's been kinder and less of a hardass. 

I Have to watch the first season again. I watched it right after it aired. I wathes the other seasons this month. So there was a lot of time between them for me. I don't remember liking Tig that much in the beginning. So guess he changed a lot, cause now he is my fav character.

In the first season they were still trying to figure out who Tig was, and then he said some weird things and got people's attenton, he got ours that way we thought he was interesting and then he completely transformed in the second season. 

I try to like Gemma, there are moments where you see her truely care about someone like her father but her hatered towards women gets on my nerves. She used Wendy in season 1 due to the fear that Able would have been taken away from Jax. We barely saw her with Luann but that didn't seem like a friendship. She tolerates Tara since Tara has the boys.

Tig probably sees a bit of his own mother in Gemma. And since he's a sick fuck, he gravitates towards that.

Gemma likes control and staying in it. She prob went after Clay when she saw JT losing power knowing Clay had a hard on for her. When she lost control of Clay, she tried having him removed from these earthly plains.

Honestly, I forget that she was gang raped in season 2 since she used that to her advantage when Jax was posied on leaving. I ge she's flawed but there's flawed and then there's too hard to watch. When I rewatch some episodes, most of the time I fast forward through Gemma unless there's a caharacter I like with her.

I agree with what you said about being flawed and just too hard to watch and Gemma has crossed that threshold. I think they keep complicating Gemma's character because Kurt Sutter is award-hungry and they keep that character dramatic because then Katey Sagal can do the Meryll Streep thing and hopefully get an award. I love Katey and everything, she's awesome but the writers need to back off with how far they've taken Gemma.
